We have joint plans with NATO to ensure security in the Black Sea region, – Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze said at a joint press conference after meeting with the NATO Secretary General.
“Today, the Black Sea is one of the top priorities for NATO, and we hail this. Georgia plays a unique role in the concept of Black Sea security. I would say an irreplaceable role. Therefore, Together with NATO, we have planned joint steps for sustainable security in the Black Sea region, I think this will become more obvious in the coming years,”, – Mamuka Bakhtadze said.
In addition, the Prime Minister spoke about Anaklia port. Mamuka Bakhtadze noted that Georgia will definitely have a deep-water port.
“Georgia has a unique geographical location. It is an integral part of our economic strategy to turn Georgia into a regional hub, which includes all dimensions and of course Georgia will definitely have a deep-water port. We have largely contributed to the fact that our European and US partners are very interested in this port”, – Bakhtadze said.
