Mamuka Bakhtadze – Import of low-standard cars will be prohibited

Import of low-standard cars will be prohibited and requirements on technical inspection will become stricter – Mamuka Bakhtadze, Georgian Prime Minister stated during the briefing.

Bakhtadze underlined that ecology was one of the main challenges for Georgia. He reported that the government had elaborated important initiatives including with regard to improvement of fuel quality.

“Changes will be made about leading construction works and improvement of municipal transport. We are working on a joint strategy with Tbilisi City Hall,” Bakhtadze said.
