Macron, Garibashvili discuss Georgia’s future route, Ambassador says
“French President Emmanuel Macron and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili had a very warm meeting. The President received the Prime Minister with great honour,” Georgian Ambassador to France Gocha Javakhishvili stated.
According to the Ambassador, the meeting discussed Georgia’s future route, as well as the success of reforms that would lead to Georgia’s EU membership.
“In the past, France was one of the sceptical countries. You are all aware of France’s role and contribution to the EU and today’s politics. For the previous few months, France’s posture has been openly positive. France, as well as many of our friends, feel that this political choice is founded on the Georgian people’s aspirations and the government’s efforts.” He added.
