Lithuanian President to pledge to do his best to push Georgia’s western integration
President of Lithuania pledged to do his best to push Georgia’s western integration, said Giorgi Vashadze, Leader of the opposition Strategy Aghmashenebeli party.
“Lithuanian President focused on the significance of Georgia’s western integration and promised to do his best in this direction. He also said that the Georgian Dream and United National Movement parties should end the conflict to begin normal development. Otherwise, there will be a constant useless dispute in the parliament,” Vashadze said.
According to Khatia Dekanoidze, a member of the United National Movement (UNM) party, the party lawmakers asked the Lithuanian President to dispatch as many election observers as possible for the upcoming local self-governance elections in Georgia.
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, who arrived in Tbilisi on June 10 with a two-day visit, met representatives of opposition MPs earlier on Friday.
