Levani Zimceishvili wins three gold medals at European Youth Weightlifting Championships

Georgia’s national team athletes Levani Zimceishvili and Giorgi Kekelidze competed at the ongoing European Youth Weightlifting Championships in Pristina.

Zimceishvili won the gold medal in the snatch after successfully lifting 108kg to claim the European title. He also finished first in the clean and jerk with a 128kg lift. With a combined total of 236kg, Zimceishvili secured his third gold medal and was crowned European champion in the overall competition.

Kekelidze lifted 86kg in the snatch, finishing sixth. He then managed 107kg in the clean and jerk, placing eighth. His combined total of 193kg saw him finish sixth overall.
