Levan Zhorzholiani: PM to address occupation, diplomacy, reconciliation and economic development at UN General Assembly

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will address the session of the UN General Assembly today, Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Government Administration, told journalists.

According to Zhorzholiani, the Prime Minister will address the ongoing occupation, which he described as the country’s main security challenge.

“The Prime Minister will emphasize the importance of diplomacy, reconciliation and restoring the mentioned territories exclusively through peaceful means.

The Prime Minister will also speak about the country’s economic performance over the past five years. He will discuss the strategic projects Georgia plans to develop, particularly those aimed at strengthening the country’s connectivity function.

The Prime Minister will address the importance of international cooperation and note that we are ready to cooperate with absolutely everyone, provided that such cooperation is based on equality and respect for sovereignty,” Zhorzholiani said.
