The Chair of the United National Movement (UNM) opposition party on Sunday announced that the public would shortly witness “the great unity around the UNM.”
“I started talking about the consolidation two weeks ago and some people had severe hysterics. I urge them, better than these hysterics, to consider certain unions, including those beyond the UNM. We did not invite anyone, we offered a common strategy against [Bidzina] Ivanishvili,” Khabeishvili told reporters.
The UNM leader believes jailed ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili will play a significant role in beating Bidzina Ivanishvili. “I’ve always said that Saakashvili is a factor regardless of whether he joins politics or not.”
