Lelo's Khazaradze welcomes Lelo-Strong Georgia and Gakharia's teams' cooperation; calls on others to join
“Lelo-Strong Georgia has always been an advocate of unity. We must set aside all personal differences and focus on fighting together. The memorandum between Lelo-Strong Georgia and Gakharia’s teams is a testament to this very principle,” stated Mamuka Khazaradze, leader of Lelo-Strong Georgia, in a post published on his Facebook page.
Khazaradze calls on everyone to join this struggle.
“I welcome the signing of the unity memorandum between Lelo-Strong Georgia and Gakharia’s teams. In three months, a decisive battle awaits us, making it crucial that we do not leave opposition voters without a say in the elections, nor facilitate the Georgian Dream’s effortless capture of all city and regional local representations. These will be our vital strongholds and launching pads for ultimate victory. We must ensure that the Georgian people do not lose their vote.
A boycott would only serve to root Georgian Dream’s— and by extension, Russian— control at the local level. This cannot be allowed. The people, especially opposition voters, must be protected at all levels—this is an additional battlefield, despite the unequal conditions. Our unwavering goal remains: to achieve new parliamentary elections and to free prisoners of conscience. This memorandum was created in this spirit, with a single purpose—because every struggle has meaning, and we must never leave Russian influence unopposed anywhere.
We, Lelo-Strong Georgia, have always advocated unity. Today, as Russian influence deeply grips our country, we must set aside personal differences and stand together in the fight. This memorandum is a testament to that resolve. I call on everyone to join us in this struggle. We believe in the victory of the Georgian people—because united action makes that victory inevitable,” writes Mamuka Khazaradze.
