The aim of the constitutional lawsuit is to eliminate the opposition from the country, while it also contains serious “time bombs” concerning Georgia’s territorial integrity, Grigol Gegelia, a member of Strong Georgia–Lelo, told journalists outside the Constitutional Court in Batumi.

According to Gegelia, the case concerns Georgia’s security and foreign policy orientation.

“We believe the aim of this lawsuit is to eliminate the opposition from the country. At the same time, it contains serious time bombs concerning our country’s territorial integrity. Saying at the stage of explanations who we are challenging and on what grounds would cause significant damage to the entire process. This motion must be granted, because the case is not about one or two political parties — it concerns Georgia’s security and foreign policy orientation,” Gegelia said.
