Lelo-Strong Georgia’s Gegelia lambasts PM for not defending Georgian people’s interests on any international platform

“Irakli Kobakhidze has never used a single visit or international platform to defend the Georgian people’s interests. Therefore, I do not expect anything new this time,” said Grigol Gegelia, a member of the Lelo-Strong Georgia coalition commenting on the Georgian PM’s scheduled address at the UNGA 81 Session.

According to Gegelia, Kobakhidze serves Bidzina Ivanishvili and his private welfare.

“At the same time, he serves the success of Russian national interests in Georgia. Regrettably, this moment will also be dedicated to achieving a political situation that pleases Ivanishvili and Russia—rather than one that benefits the Georgian nation and moves it forward. Therefore, just as no platform has been used to date to support and advance the interests of the Georgian nation, this platform will not be used for that purpose now either,” he said.
