“I and Nika Melia (former Chairman of the United National Movement party) will be strategic partners. We will ask voters how this partnership could happen,” said Lelo party leader Mamuka Khazaradze live with TV Pirveli.
According to Mamuka Khazaradze, the main goal is to bring coalition government into power through the elections.
The Lelo leader rejected any negotiations taking place between him and Nika Melia, though confirmed being in contact with the former UNM chair.
Remarking on the question of possible unification, Mamuka Khazaradze said: “We are developing our party by looking for individuals whose biography, and past coincide with our goals. I have never supported artificial unifications and will not act so. This should not necessarily be a one party. If Melia establishes his party, we have our party and will develop ours,” he said.
