Representatives of the cooperation group of the Parliament of Latvia (Seimas) with the Parliament of Georgia are on a visit to Georgia.
Deputy Defence Minister Grigol Giorgadze received the Latvian delegation. Grigol Giorgadze thanked the Latvian side for close cooperation in various areas in the defence field and practical assistance provided towards Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
The meeting noted the long-term partnership between Georgia and the Republic of Latvia, based on common values and interests.
The meeting, held at the Georgian Ministry of Defence (MoD), was attended by the Deputy Commander of the Defence Forces, Brigadier General Irakli Chichinadze, and the heads of structural units of the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff, who presented the current reforms in the defence system of Georgia to Latvian guests.
