Latvian FM: Georgian gov't wants to move in EU direction, it's good suggestion
I think that it’s very important and clear what the Georgian people are saying. But it’s also, of course, very interesting to listen to the Georgian government. The government wants to move in the direction of the EU. And I think it’s a good suggestion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Krisjanis Karins, remarked at her doorstep interview ahead of the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels.
“I support that strongly that Georgia has granted the candidate status. Of course, it is up to the Georgian government now to make the next steps,” he added.
