Lasha Bekauri secures Gold at Tbilisi Grand Slam

Lasha Bekauri secured the gold medal at the Tbilisi Judo Grand Slam by defeating Eljan Hajiyev from Azerbaijan in just 51 seconds in the final of the 90 kg weight category. This victory marks Bekauri’s second consecutive win at the Tbilisi tournament.

Today, heavyweight Guram Tushishvili will compete in the final block for the gold medal, while Saba Inaneishvili (+100 kg) and Mikheil Japaridze (100 kg) will compete for the bronze.

After two days of intense competition at the Tbilisi Grand Slam, the Georgian national team has already claimed two gold medals, with Eter Liparteliani (57 kg) and Lasha Shavdatuashvili (73 kg) emerging victorious.
