Landslide shuts 16th kilometre of Ozurgeti–Shemokmedi–Bzhuzhhesi–Gomistmita road to all traffic

Traffic has been temporarily banned at the 16th kilometre of the Ozurgeti–Shemokmedi–Bzhuzhhesi–Gomistmita secondary road following a landslide, according to the Roads Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

The department reported that heavy rainfall triggered an earth slip along the 16th kilometre of the secondary-importance highway.

All vehicular traffic on this section has been temporarily suspended until clearance and remedial measures can be completed.
