Lanchkhuti municipality's water supply restored

Lanchkhuti municipality’s water supply has been completely restored. Some 1,500 people are awaiting the restoration of natural gas, according to Merab Gamkrelidze, Deputy Head of the Regional Development Department in the Administration of the Government of Georgia.

He says that rehabilitative work has been going on since the morning, adding the landslip caused extensive damage to many areas. Four villages are now without electricity. “The situation in Chochkhati is dire. Some 100 families have been relocated to safe temporary housing.”
