Georgia’s progress on the EU Accession path, submitting the questionnaire and implementation of reforms were the main topics of a meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission for Interinstitutional Relations, at the 2022 Global Security Forum (GLOBSEC).

PM Garibashvili stated Georgia fulfilled the 45% of the Association and Free Trade Agreements, and this process continues. The sides discussed regional security challenges, the war in Ukraine and the humanitarian situation across Georgia’s occupied territories.

Irakli Garibashvili reconfirmed the Georgian government’s policy to resolve the conflict peacefully.
