Kutaisi Mayor resigns

Kutaisi Mayor Ioseb Khakhaleishvili has announced his resignation.

Despite stepping down, Khakhaleishvili will remain part of the Georgian Dream team and plans to continue serving the country in a different capacity.

“Our country faces an important, historical choice. I will continue to serve my country as an ordinary soldier so that Georgia continues to develop. Let’s give our people, especially my beloved people of Kutaisi, the opportunity to live peacefully,” Khakhaleishvili wrote.
