The allegations that Russia is behind the attempt of assassination of Georgian journalist Giorgi Gabunia are absurd, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted as saying by Russian media.

“I will tell you one thing, there have been accusations from the very beginning that the Russian government was involved in this incident and we have stated from the very beginning that such allegations are absurd and false,” Peskov said.
