Kazakhstan interested in participating in oil pipeline projects running through Georgia, Deputy Economy Minister says

Kazakhstan is interested in participating in oil pipeline projects running through Georgia, which would increase state budget revenues, enhance the country’s geopolitical significance and make Georgia’s energy sector more attractive, Deputy Economy Minister Inga Pkhaladze said.

According to Pkhaladze, several strategically important agreements between Georgia and Azerbaijan were signed in Baku in spring 2026.

“The implementation of these agreements will ensure the rational use of our country’s energy supply, energy security and transit potential. One of the most important and successful agreements within this energy package was the decision on the utilization and operation of the Baku–Supsa oil pipeline. This project strengthens Georgia’s position as a Middle Corridor and energy hub,” Pkhaladze said.
