Kakha Kaladze unveils Tbilisi Development plans for culture, education, sports, and youth

Tbilisi Mayor and Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze presented a series of projects aimed at advancing culture, education, sports, and youth policy in the capital, the press service of the Georgian Dream party reported

The event was attended by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, and City Council Chairman Zurab Abashidze, along with members of the Cabinet, City Hall, Parliament, athletes, and young people.

In his address, Kaladze expressed gratitude to the city’s youth for their continued trust and engagement.

“I sincerely thank you for the support and trust you have shown over the years. Your involvement in vital processes for the capital—every meeting, every message on social media, every shared opinion—is invaluable. We express our gratitude through accountability, transparency, and by sharing our future plans,” Kaladze said.

He emphasized the municipality’s commitment to supporting culture, education, and sports as part of a broader effort to create a healthy environment for young people.

“Our work is intended for the next generation, providing opportunities for education, sports, and cultural engagement. Today, Tbilisi offers numerous spaces where young people can develop their talents, share art, engage in sports, and pursue a healthy lifestyle. You are not just our future—you are active participants in the present, and your vision and ideas are vital to the city’s development,” Kaladze added.

The mayor highlighted that culture, education, sports, and youth initiatives remain a top priority for Tbilisi City Hall. He also noted ongoing efforts to expand sports infrastructure, increase educational opportunities, and strengthen support for cultural projects and employment programs.

Kaladze specifically thanked the Georgian Football Federation for their role in establishing football schools across Tbilisi.

“The programs we have launched will continue and expand. More young people will have access to education, cultural initiatives will receive stronger support, and we will continue helping youth acquire new skills and professions. We stand with you and remain committed to serving the people of Tbilisi,” he said.
