Justice Minister meets PACE co-rapporteurs for Monitoring Committee

Georgian Justice Minister Rati Bregadze met with the co-rapporteurs of the PACE Monitoring Committee on Tuesday.

The Minister discussed the ongoing reforms, emphasizing the importance of cooperation with the PACE Monitoring Committee for promoting the rule of law and human rights.

The meeting touched on Georgia’s successes at the European Court of Human Rights and the sharp decrease in complaints against the country.

The parties emphasized legislative changes adopted last year to strengthen the enforcement of Strasbourg court decisions, one of the EC’s 12 recommendations implemented by Georgia.
