Justice Minister meets Kyrgyz Ambassador

Paata Salia, Minister of Justice of Georgia, discussed opportunities for deepening legal cooperation with the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, Maksat Mamitkanov.

According to the Ministry of Justice, during the meeting Salia introduced the ambassador to the main directions of the ministry’s activities. He noted that the ministry’s priorities include promoting democratic values and strengthening the rule of law, ensuring effective representation of state interests in international courts, and further developing the penitentiary and crime prevention systems.

The sides also discussed strengthening institutional cooperation between the two countries in both civil and criminal law.

The Georgian side expressed readiness to share its experience with Kyrgyzstan regarding successful reforms implemented in improving access to public services.

During the meeting, Paata Salia invited Maksat Mamitkanov and the Kyrgyz delegation to attend the UN Public Service Forum 2026, which will be held in Tbilisi on June 23–25.
