Justice Minister meets Azerbaijani counterpart

Georgian Minister of Justice Paata Salia met with Azerbaijani Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov in Baku as part of an event marking the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Azerbaijani Constitution, the Georgian Ministry of Justice reported.

During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of justice, focusing on areas such as mutual legal assistance, human rights protection, and the development of citizen-oriented public services.

According to the Ministry, Minister Salia presented the priorities of Georgia’s Ministry of Justice and invited his Azerbaijani counterpart to participate in the UN Public Services Forum, which Georgia will host in June 2026.

“At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue fruitful cooperation,” the Ministry’s statement said.

As part of his official visit to Baku, Paata Salia, along with other conference participants, paid tribute to the memory of Azerbaijan’s national leader, Heydar Aliyev.
