Georgian Justice Minister Paata Salia met with the Council of Europe’s Director General for Human Rights and Rule of Law, Gianluca Esposito.
According to the Ministry of Justice, Salia and Esposito discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation.
The ministry said the meeting underscored the effective cooperation between Georgia and the Council of Europe in the fields of human rights, the rule of law, and democracy.
The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Justice Minister Beka Dzamashvili and Georgia’s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe Khatia Tsilosani.
Salia is currently in Strasbourg participating in the Council of Europe ministerial conference. During the event, the Georgian justice minister delivered a speech and shared Georgia’s experience in combating and preventing financial crime with his counterparts.
