Judo: Tato Grigalashvili secures title of European Vice Champion

Georgian judoka Tato Grigalashvili (81 kg) won a silver medal at the European Championships underway in Tbilisi by defeating Timur Arbuzov, a Russian judo practitioner, in the final and securing the title of European Vice Champion.

It is the 6th silver medal for Tato Grigalashvili. He became champion in 2020 and 2022, while he won silver medals in 2023 and 2025.

On April 17, Lasha Shavdatuashvili crowned the European Championships currently underway in Tbilisi by claiming victory in the under-73 kg category, while Eter Liparteliani (57 kg) brought the European Championships to a magnificent conclusion, defeating Israel’s Timna Nelson Levy in the final with a breathtaking throw. Giorgi Sardalashvili (60 kg) won a silver medal.
