Josep Borrell says EU Council should send signal on starting preparation for EU integration of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova

“European Council, later this week, should send a signal that we start the preparation for the European integration of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova,” EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, stated at the press conference following the Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg.

“The European Council, later this week, should send a signal that we start preparation for the European integration of these three countries. This is a powerful signal. This is a powerful signal that should be heard not only in Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia but should echo loudly beyond our borders as a manifestation of our strength, unity and support to these three countries,” Josep Borrell stated.
