John Bolton: Georgia is of the highest strategic importance for U.S.
Georgia is of the highest strategic importance for the United States, – John Bolton, US National Security Advisor and Assistant to President Trump for National Security Affairs (NSA) made this statement when summarizing his visit to Georgia.
According to John Bolton he has held significant meetings with Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze, Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani, Defence Minister Levan Izoria and Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia.
“I have the opportunity to visit Georgia for the first time and thank you very much for this opportunity.
During the meetings, we discussed a series of issues related to the situation in the region and the bilateral relations between Georgia and the United States of America. On my part, I pointed out how important the relations with Georgia are for us. Georgia is of the highest strategic importance for the United States” – John Bolton stated.
According to him, at the meeting with Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, the possibilities related to deepening the Georgia-US bilateral relations and cooperation were discussed.
