Jessika Roswall: Some progress in Georgia; it's important to see their path towards EU

Jessika Roswall, Swedish Minister for EU Affairs, on Thursday, said, “While there has been some progress, it’s clear that Georgia still has work to do, and it’s important also to send a clear, unified message to Georgia, including the need for further reforms.”

“Georgia has done some progress in the reforms, but if they are on the path towards the EU; it’s important though also the EU and the member states confirm and support Georgia in this path,” she went on.

“I’m confident that the content of the update will be carefully studied by Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia, and that they will be used as guidance for further reforms during the time leading up to an enlargement package in the autumn. I’m really looking forward to this. And as I already said, there has been some progress also in Georgia, and it’s important to see their path towards the EU,” Jessika Roswall said following the informal meeting of European Affairs Ministers in Stockholm, Sweden.
