January 3-6 declared holidays in Georgia

By decision of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, January 3 – 6 has been declared holidays for employees of administrative bodies defined by the Administrative Code.

According to the government’s press office, “the given administrative body is authorized to identify services and servants subordinated to it and comprising its system to whom said ordinance does not apply as long as fulfilling their functions is urgently necessitated to carry out state governance and ensure the normal functioning of society.”

It went on to say that “the ordinance does not apply to the financial obligations to be fulfilled by persons subordinated to the supervision of the National Bank of Georgia.”

In addition, the ordinance does not apply to activities related to state procurements defined in the Law of Georgia on State Procurement.
