“The Rose Revolution – we must inevitably continue to a new phase because corruption must be uprooted again, criminals must be removed again, Georgia must be brought back onto the international stage again, because all our international ties have been destroyed, and we are ready for all of this,” Georgia’s former president Mikheil Saakashvili declared during today’s court proceedings via remote participation.

As Saakashvili noted, major changes lie ahead and “such a regime cannot endure for long.”

“They are eroding all that was achieved through the Rose Revolution, and this destruction has taken on a catastrophic scale. Yet, history teaches us that the greatest destruction is always followed by the greatest reconstruction. Speaking as the leader of the Rose Revolution, I firmly believe we must continue this movement into a new phase. We must once again root out corruption, remove those who threaten our progress, and restore Georgia’s rightful place on the international stage. All our international ties have been severed, but we are prepared to rebuild and move forward.

For this, there are both internal and external conditions. At the expense of these wars – in Ukraine, between Iran and Israel, where Israel and America have won, regarding the Palestinians – will follow a time of great political rethinking, and the era of tyrants and dictators is passing into history.

In Georgia now there is a completely reversed process. The country is ruled by Ivanishvili, who receives instructions from his Russian Federal Security Service curator. Ivanishvili is surrounded by puppets who receive their instructions in the direction of Georgia’s destruction. They carry out the enemy’s orders. Taking everything into account, considering historical logic, considering the people’s mood, considering the factors around us, such a regime cannot endure for long,” Mikheil Saakashvili declared.

Moreover, Mikheil Saakashvili noted that “the issue of our historic territories’ reunification with Georgia” may come to the fore.

“We have great changes ahead. Georgia will inevitably restore its territorial integrity, displaced persons will return to their homes, the empire will collapse, and in these matters stands the question of Caucasian unification, because Georgians have always played a historically great role in Caucasian unification.

Let us recall Zviad Gamsakhurdia, and Arnold Chikobava in scholarship. You know that, for example, among the Ingush, the question of joining Georgia constantly arises. Along with the empire’s collapse, not only the return of our territories but also the issue of our historic territories’ reunification with Georgia may come to the fore. The question of association. The situation in the Caucasus will change completely. Armenia’s Prime Minister went to Turkiye and signed a peace agreement. This is a historic breakthrough. The Caucasus is again gathering into one fist. Armenia has announced the necessity of withdrawing Russian bases. This is such a process that Georgia cannot remain outside of, no matter how much those who want maximum chaos today may wish it,” Mikheil Saakashvili declared.

Saakashvili spoke about the importance of unity and explained that now is not the time for division.

“Our emigrants must actively engage in the political life of Georgian society. Electronic voting must be introduced and all major decisions should be made with their participation, without leaving home.

I think everyone understands that the time for division is over; they are destroying everyone individually. Whoever demanded that I be in prison innocently because this supposedly promoted stability, I don’t think they think that now, and for us, they are victims of this regime, and I declare solidarity with them,” Mikheil Saakashvili declared.
