“Since 2012, Bidzina Ivanishvili has remained the guarantor of Georgia’s peaceful and successful development. Unsurprisingly, he has become the target of opposition attacks, not only in terms of criticism but also, alarmingly, in terms of potential physical threats and various dangers,” Nino Tsilosani, the Georgian Dream party member, stated.

Tsilosani expressed surprise at the opposition’s agitation over security measures.

“The recent events abroad and attacks on politicians have demonstrated the dangers that could potentially be replicated in Georgia by supporters of the ‘global war party.’ Undoubtedly, Bidzina Ivanishvili is their primary target, while for us, he is the number one individual whose protection and safety must be guaranteed,” she explained.

Tsilosani emphasized that the security measures implemented were both reasonable and necessary, given the current global political climate and the potential risks faced by prominent figures like Ivanishvili.

“What we witnessed were logical and adequate security measures. What’s puzzling is why our opponents became so agitated over these security protocols. Were they truly planning something, or what disappointed them so much?” Tsilosani continued.
