Popular Italian blogger Matteo Pelusi has visited Georgia to explore the country’s tourist potential and promote it as a destination for international visitors, the Georgian national tourism administration said on Friday.

As part of his tour, Pelusi visited Kakheti, a famous winemaking region in eastern Georgia. In Telavi and Tsinandali, Mateo Pelus tasted the Kakhetian cuisine, and wine, while locals held a culinary masterclass for him.

Matteo Pelusi is a popular food blogger, with over 1.5 million Instagram followers and more than 2.5 million subscribers on YouTube.

According to then tourism administration, Pelusi will prepare blog reports and social media posts about Kakheti to introduce the location to his followers in Italy and other European countries.
