Irina Putkaradze responds to Giga Bokeria – Your government had Public Broadcaster in pocket

“You should not say a word about Public Broadcaster because your government had the broadcaster in pocket,” Irina Putkaradze, acting Chairperson of Board of Trustees of Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) thus addressed Giga Bokeria, a member of European Georgia Party, during the sitting of Parliamentary Human Rights Committee.

The report of 2017 activities of GPB was discussed during the sitting. The report was supported with 6 votes for. Bokeria became interested with the rating of GPB. “Your government was doing dirty things. It was your television. Now we have a different broadcaster, which is no longer in your pocket,” Putkaradze stated.
