Irakli Kupradze: Best way to protect against electoral manipulation, pressure, and violence is high voter turnout
“The best way to protect against electoral manipulation, pressure, and violence is high voter turnout, with as many people as possible going to the polls,” said Irakli Kupradze, the joint Tbilisi mayoral candidate from Lelo – Strong Georgia and the party Gakharia for Georgia, speaking to journalists after casting his vote in the local elections.
Kupradze emphasized that the future of Tbilisi and Georgia is in the hands of the voters.
“If you want to break from the past and free the capital from corruption and injustice; if you want a city and a country without political prisoners, lawlessness, incompetence, and corruption, you must go to the polling stations. Vote for the future of Georgia—not the past, but the future. It’s simple: the fate of your capital, Tbilisi, and all of Georgia depends on you—and on a peaceful choice. Go to the polls and support the political parties and candidates who focus on the future. They have concrete plans to help citizens, combat poverty, and end the injustice and corruption that surround us,” Kupradze said.
