Irakli Kobakhidze – Work on criteria for selection of judges to be carried out in 2 formats

Work on the criteria for selection of judges of Supreme Court of Georgia will be carried out in 2 formats – Working Group and Parliamentary – Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of Parliament said.

Kobakhidze also explained how the decision about postponement of election of judges for the spring session of the parliament had been made.

He said the decision was made by the majority of Majority MPs. “There is no alternative to finding the best resolution of the issue, which we have to discuss together,” Kobakhidze stated.
