Irakli Kobakhidze to head Georgian Dream HQ and Kakha Kaladze - Tbilisi HQ for the second round of elections
Irakli Kobakhidze, Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia will head the headquarters of “Georgian Dream” for the second round of the presidential elections, and Tbilisi headquarters will be headed by Mayor Kakha Kaladze.
According to “Georgian Dream”, the decision was taken by the party leadership.
The second round of presidential polls will be held in Georgia following the October 28 first round of elections. None of the candidates managed to collect 50% +1 of the votes.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has completed the counting of votes. According to the results of 3705 precincts published by the Commission, Salome Zurabishvili, the presidential candidate supported by the Georgian Dream, received 615 433 votes (38, 64 %), while Grigol Vashadze, presidential candidate of the United National Movement, received 600 970 votes (37, 74%).
