The report of the international organization Freedom House reads that its authors rely on the assessments of those Georgian non-governmental organizations that are characterized by a lack of competence and biased attitude against the Georgian authorities, – Irakli Kobakhidze the Executive Secretary of the party “Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia” made the regarding statement at the briefing held at the Central Office of the party today.

According to him, there are so-called pseudo-liberal forces, which are equally fighting against the current authorities in Georgia as well as in United States.

“The best illustration is the Tbilisi office of NDI, for which insulting its own authorities  is an ordinary action in Georgia,” – Irakli Kobakhidze said.

According to him, this struggle has nothing in common with liberalism and liberal values.

“Our government is the most liberal power in the modern history of Georgia. We are guided by values such as democracy, the rule of law, protection of human rights, justice in general, equality and tolerance. At the same time, pseudo-liberalism and those forces that oppose our national identity, traditions and the Georgian church, and those opposing the same values ​​in the United States are unacceptable for us”, – Irakli Kobakhidz said.
