Irakli Kobakhidze – Naming of Giorgi Margvelashvili as presidential candidate of united opposition is desirable scenario of National Movement

Naming of Giorgi Margvelashvili as presidential candidate of the united opposition is a desirable scenario of National Movement Party, Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of Parliament said.

According to Kobakhidze, the scenario needs packaging and National Movement Party is working on that. “The scenario is simple but no scenario can defeat Georgian Dream in the elections,” Kobakhidze claimed.

Kobakhidze said that preliminary consultations are already launched in the team regarding the presidential candidate. However, there is no extinguished candidate revealed yet.

Manana Nachkebia, one of the leaders of “New Rights” opposition party, confirms that President Giorgi Margvelashvili is being discussed as one of the presidential candidates for presidential elections in October 2018.
