“The information released by TV Company Rustavi 2 about the candidate of Board of Trustees of Georgian Public Broadcaster might be more convincing before publishing the list of 14 supposed candidates”,- the Speaker of the Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze made the regarding statement during the bureau session today.

According to Kobakhidze now when the list has been already published and the focus is made on the candidate who may be nominated by the majority, the released information is less convincing.

“I would like to respond to the information disseminated yesterday; it might be more convincing for us if it was released before publishing the list. But when you wait for a 14-people list and then choose a person who is most likely to be nominated and release information without evidences, it raises questions. Now, when the list has been already published and the focus is made on the candidate who may be nominated by the majority, the questions of such kind may be emerged – May somebody wants to block this candidate or wants to impede nomination process. The information released by one of the TV companies lacks credibility”, – Speaker of the Parliament said.
