If elections are completed in the first round, constitutional amendments will be entered into force from November 18, – said Parliament Speaker Irakli Kobakhidze at a sitting of the Parliamentary Commission on Harmonization of the Legislative Acts with the Constitution of Georgia.
According to Parliament Speaker, all relevant laws should be adopted until October.
“As you know, the presidential election will be held on October 28, which means that if elections are completed in the first round, constitutional amendments will be entered into force from November 18. In order to ensure harmonization of the legislation before November 18, all relevant laws should be adopted until October. This is our deadline and we should plan our next work in line with this term,” – Irakli Kobakhidze noted.
