Irakli Kobakhidze - Discussion on drug policy should be continued with everyone, including the Patriarchate
According to the Speaker of Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze, the discussion on drug policy should continue with everyone, including the patriarchate.
“The circle of those subjects that will take part in the discussions should be expanded and for us the participation of the patriarchate in the processes is very important. We will listen to all the parties, to the Patriarchate and the final decision will be made with such broad involvement. We all have one goal – to reduce drug consumption, ” – Irakli Kobakhidze said.
Georgia’s Patriarchate released a statement regarding the draft of amendments on drug policy today.
The amendments in connection with the liberalization of drug policy were initiated to the parliament last spring and discussions have begun in fall.
