Irakli Kobakhidze – Decision on dismissal of Zviad Kvachantiradze is made

The decision about the dismissal of MP Zviad Kvachantiradze from post of Chairman of the Parliamentary Diaspora and Caucasus Affairs Committee is made – Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of the Parliament said.

The balloting in the parliament over the issue was held earlier today. However, Kvachantiradze’s dismissal was not approved. The 67 lawmakers voted for and 8 – against. The votes of 76 MPs were needed to dismiss Kvachantiradze from the post.

The repeated balloting over the same issue is expected presumably sometime later this afternoon.
