IPRM meeting held in Ergneti

The 131st meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) was held in Ergneti, Gori Municipality, where all significant incidents recorded in the occupied region and along the occupation line since the previous meeting were discussed.

According to the State Security Service (SSSG), representatives once again called for the punishment of those responsible for the murder of Georgian citizen Tamaz Ginturi.

“The immediate release of all individuals held in illegal detention was again raised. Central government representatives also demanded the safe and dignified return of activist Tamar Mearakishvili, who was illegally expelled from occupied Tskhinvali, to her home,” the SSSG stated.

Another key topic was the illegal restrictions on free movement. An extensive discussion focused on the regime of movement at crossing points, including measures during the upcoming Easter holidays.

The SSSG noted that the next IPRM meeting is scheduled for May 14, 2026.
