IPRM group to meet in Ergneti

The group of Incidents Prevention and Response Mechanisms (IPRM) is holding a meeting in Ergneti village. The current situation at the occupation line, borderization works and humanitarian issues are the main topics for discussions.

The meeting participants will also discuss the free movement for locals through the Akhalgori checkpoint.

The Georgian side will demand the unconditional release of unlawfully detained Georgian citizens, primarily Zaza Gakheladze, jailed for 12.5 years.

Specialists of both the Georgian central government and the occupation regime will kick off the irrigation systems’ examination in the villages adjacent to the occupation line. Approximately thirty villages use the Tiripi-Saltvisi channel for irrigation.
