Introduction of the united online services begins in Municipalities of Georgia. As a result of the implementation of the project, all the 63 municipalities across Georgia will receive the same type and quality of services as in Tbilisi.
Maia Tskitishvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure said during the presentation that the ‘ambitious project’ will reduce bureaucracy.
“The municipalities will have access to the electronic systems of the central government. Sending of letters via post will not be necessary that will save time and reduce bureaucracy that follows the process,” Tskitishvili claimed.
The project of introduction of the united online services in Municipalities of Georgia will be divided into three stages. Twenty-one municipalities will be involved in the project initially and 16 services will be introduced at 63 municipalities at the end of the project.
The project will be carried out with the financing of the World Bank and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
