Int'l community must spare no effort to end war in Ukraine soon, Georgian PM says
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili briefed media outlets Monday, saying, “the whole world must do everything possible to end the war in Ukraine soon.” The Head of the Government believes Russia’s aggression against Ukraine should be decried worldwide.
PM continued: “Once again we and the international community must condemn it [Russia’s aggression]; the entire world must spare no effort to end the war as soon as possible.”
He also stressed the importance of continuing humanitarian aid to Ukraine, noting that “continuing sending humanitarian aid and expressing our solidarity in this way are needed.”
Irakli Garibashvili also expressed his condolences to the families of the three Georgian volunteers killed in the ongoing war in Ukraine. PM said the state would transport their bodies to Georgia, stressing the lives of every citizen are “paramount” to the Government.
Georgian PM called on citizens to avoid “speculating” on the deaths of Georgian volunteers in the war, dubbing it “a very bad behaviour, triggering strife, confusion in the society, the tension in the population.” Garibashvili urged the society to “treat [the deceased] with dignity.”
