Interior Minister: Strict policy against drug and organized crime will continue
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze, pledged that the ministry will maintain a strict stance against drug-related and organized crime.
According to Geladze, every police officer is working around the clock to combat these offenses.
“The statistics announced today by the Prime Minister are the result of the right drug policy, legislative initiatives, and police measures. I want to thank each police officer who selflessly works 24 hours a day,” he said.
He noted that ambitious plans are already being implemented at checkpoints, airports, and terminals to address the issue.
“We will present many new measures in the coming months, and I am confident that the statistics will decrease. I want to assure the public that the Ministry of Internal Affairs will continue to enforce a strict policy against both drug and organized crime,” Geladze stated.
