Interior Minister meets CoE Human Rights Commissioner
Georgia’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze, met with the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Michael O’Flaherty, who is on an official visit to the country.
The Minister briefed the Commissioner on the ministry’s activities, key priorities, and both ongoing and completed reforms.
The parties also discussed the current situation in Georgia in terms of human rights protection.
At the conclusion of the meeting, they addressed prospects for future cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Council of Europe.
