Interagency command and staff exercise Didgori 2025 commences
The inter-agency command and staff exercise Didgori 2025 has officially commenced at the Krtsanisi Joint Military Center.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of various state agencies, where Deputy Minister of Defense Grigol Giorgadze delivered a welcoming address. During the event, participants were briefed on the goals and objectives of the large-scale national exercise.
According to the Ministry of Defense, Didgori 2025 is a national-level command and staff exercise conducted at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels, supported by computer simulation systems. By order of the Prime Minister of Georgia, the Defense Forces are responsible for the planning and implementation of the exercise.
In parallel with Krtsanisi, an additional opening ceremony took place at the 2nd Infantry Brigade base in Senaki.
The ministry stated that the purpose of Didgori 2025 is to enhance coordination and cooperation among government agencies during crisis situations, emergencies, and wartime scenarios.
Up to 5,000 representatives from various state agencies are participating in the exercise, which operates from 25 headquarters locations across the country and includes 29 field components.
The field components have expanded this year, covering almost all municipalities of Georgia — including Krtsanisi and Afrika district of Tbilisi, Vaziani, Orpolo, Chokhatauri, Bolnisi, Algeti, Norio, Gori, Kopitnari, Senaki, Tianeti, Batumi, Poti, and Kobuleti.
